Dongguan Bohai Environmental Protection Resources Development Co. Ltd. (Bohai) currently owns and operates a municipal solid waste (MSW) incineration power generating plant in the city of Houjie in the Dongguan region. The plant has an installed generating capacity of 15MW and is capable of treating 600 tonnes of MSW per day.

The project was developed in two phases: the first phase started in May 2001 when two incinerators, each with a capacity of 150 tonnes per day, were constructed. The second phase of two further incinerators, again with a capacity of 150 tonnes per day, started construction in July 2002. In September 2003, the generating units were examined and certified by the Guangdong Environmental Protection Bureau that they had reached the National Environmental Standard [Policy: GB18485-2001] set by the Central Government. In August 2004, both phase one and two were duly completed and in operation, totalling a capacity of 600 tonnes per day.

Your Company’s interests represent 9.7% of the annual profits from the plant's operation for its entire lifecycle which is expected to be 25 years at a minimum.
